Pilates Level 1 is a full-body workout that teaches the foundational principles and exercises of the Pilates method. Exercises are performed on the Pilates Reformer and Pilates Springboard, sometimes with small Pilates props.
This class is perfect for students who are new to Pilates, who need modifications because of injuries or chronic conditions, or anyone who likes to move a bit slower in their practice. Although this class moves at a slightly slower pace, you will still be challenged and get a great workout!
We strongly encourage anyone new to Pilates to complete at least 10 Level 1 classes before moving to Level 2 classes.
-
Pilates Level 2 is a full-body workout that builds on the foundations of Level 1 while incorporating more advanced exercise variations and choreography. Coordination, balance, and stability will be further challenged by exercises that include standing on the Pilates Reformer.
This class moves at a faster pace compared to Level 1, and is suitable for anyone with previous Pilates Reformer experience who can transition quickly between exercises. Though athletic individuals new to Pilates may perform well in this class, we still encourage taking a few Level 1 classes to learn how to move around a Pilates Reformer before taking this more challenging class.
